The Rev Mary Bowden has been appointed interim priest for All Saints following the retirement of Rev Sydney Maitland. She is taking some services in December and will begin her new post officially in January 2026.

Rev Mary Bowden
Mary enjoyed a career as a civil servant, serving as director of Home Office Immigration and Asylum Appeals, as regional director of the Greater London Magistrates Court, and as a member of the Parole Board for England and Wales.
Following ordination as deacon in 2007 and priest in 2008, she became:
- Assistant Curate at Christ Church, Gypsy Hill, in London;
- Assistant Curate at All Saints, West Dulwich, in London;
- Rector of Haslemere & Grayswood in Surrey;
- Associate Priest with North Cheltenham Team Ministry in Gloucestershire;
- Associate Priest at St Margaret’s, Newlands, in Glasgow.
The congregation has been privileged to have had a number of retired clergy taking services in recent months, to whom we are most grateful, and expect that the arrival of Rev Mary Bowden will bring a feeling of stability and continuity.
Rev Kevin Francis will also continue his involvement at All Saints.
