Having passed the 100-session mark earlier this year, All Saints monthly Tea and Talk afternoons have been planned for the year ahead by Eileen Maitland. They take place from 2-3 pm on the first Thursday of the month, admission is free and everyone is welcome.
2025
September 4: John Foster on Glasgow Murals.
October 2: Alan Jeffreys on Bizarre Events. Alan is an ex-policeman, oldest serving actor at the Edinburgh Fringe and cave explorer.
November 6: Barrie Levine on the Scottish Poor Laws. Barrie has dealt with the legal aspects of young people leaving care and mental health cases.
2026
February 5: Moira Martin on Post boxes.
March 5: Brian Skillen on the Clydeside Blitz.
April 9: Jane Quigley on Stained glass. Like her father before her, Jane makes stained glass and has been responsible for the restoration of many examples in Scotland. Note: this talk has been transferred from the first Thursday of the month to the second Thursday as 2nd April is Maundy Thursday.
May 7: Carys Parker on Mercy Ships. Carys is currently a Locum Associate Minister at Kelvinside Hillhead Church of Scotland but has spent most of her life on Mercy Ships, from 6 weeks old to working as a chaplain.
June 4: A speaker from George Mewes on cheese and cheese making.
