The 64-page book ‘The Servant Queen and the King she serves’, celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s Christian faith ahead of her official 90th birthday on June 12, has now reached its millionth copy.
Her Majesty made it a condition of endorsing the book and providing a personal introduction that it should be distributed free, and copies are available at All Saints.
The Queen says in her preface: “In my first Christmas broadcast in 1952, I asked the people of the Commonwealth and Empire to pray for me as I prepared to dedicate myself to their service at my Coronation. I have been – and remain – very grateful to you for your prayers and go God for his steadfast love. I have indeed seen his faithfulness.”
The book is produced by Hope, the Bible Society, and the London Institute for Contemporary Christianity. Bookmarks, mugs and other items are also available.
