Notes on Vestry Meeting held on Tuesday 3rd March 2020
The first and main part of the meeting consisted of an extensive and detailed presentation by Dr Colin Campbell concerning the increasing threats and challenges of the coronavirus (Covid-19).
There followed a lengthy discussion, including a question and answer session. As a result it was agreed that the Rector’s suggested measures be put in place. Dr Campbell was thanked for his guidance and explanations.
The Treasurer reported that the financial position remained sound with a healthy bank balance, although the current volatility of the financial markets would have a negative effect on our investment portfolio.
On property, Hugh Graham presented a detailed report highlighting various matters of concern including several health and safety issues, especially regarding storage and kitchen operations.
After much discussion it was agreed that the Coffee Morning planned as part of the Plant Sale (9th May) should be cancelled, and other minor fabric matters were approved.
