The Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church, the Most Rev Mark Strange, yesterday issued a mandate for the election of the next Bishop of Glasgow & Galloway.
The Rt Rev Andrew Swift, acting bishop during the vacancy following the retiral of Rt Rev Kevin Pearson, has also issued summons to the eligible members of the Electoral Synod for a preliminary meeting on Saturday 21 September.
A timeline of the process leading up to a scheduled election on 18 January 2025 is available on the Bishop Search 2024 page of the Diocesan website. Please keep the people of the Diocese and those discerning a call to be its next Bishop in your prayers.
