Graeme Hely writes: The Episcopalian congregation in Drumchapel has found a new home due to the kindness of the Drumchapel United Reformed Church, in the beautiful little URC church in Essenside Avenue whose minister is the Revd William Young.

The Dean, Jean Kerr, the Bishop, Rev Kenny Macaulay and Sue Brough.
Yesterday Bishop Gregor presided there at a Eucharist of Thanksgiving and Rededication attended by the congregation, friends and representatives of all the Drumchapel churches.
The Revd Kenny Macaulay, Rector of St. Augustine’s, Dumbarton – himself a Drumchapel boy – preached a lively sermon describing the changes which have taken place since the building of this post-war scheme.
In particular, he stressed the community spirit which has seen the congregation hold together despite the fact that for many years they did not have a building of their own and worshipped in Holy Cross, Knightswood.
He also commented on the fact that the present congregation, led by Jean Kerr and Sue Brough, are upholding the tradition with their outreach into the local community and involvement with the elderly, youth work and asylum seekers.
