The Clergy Discipline Tribunal hearing into allegations against Bishop Anne Dyer, scheduled for September 2024, has been postponed following an application on behalf of the Bishop for further preparation time.
The request was granted by the Tribunal.
The hearing was scheduled to begin on 10 September 2024 in Edinburgh, and work is now underway to identify alternative dates.
In May this year, it was announced that the Procurator, Paul Reid KC, had decided to take three complaints against the Bishop of Aberdeen & Orkney to a hearing before the Clergy Discipline Tribunal.
Subsequently, Bishop Dyer entered pleas of not guilty to each complaint. She remains suspended during the Canon 54 process.
