Following the thoughtful feedback which the congregation gave to our Mission Action Planning group in May, writes Rev Sydney Maitland, we will be holding another congregational meeting after our morning service on Sunday, August 10.
The main proposals will be that All Saints should hold monthly Alternative Worship Evenings in church during the summer, and House Group meetings in parishioners’ homes during the winter.
As a taster, we plan to hold Alternative Worship on Thursday August 21 from 7 pm until 9 pm. The evening will be made up of 20-30 minute segments. People will be welcome to join in for as long or as brief a period as suits them.
Possible activities include Exposition of the Sacrament, Bible study, Taize music, open prayer, coffee, meditation and Compline.
The congregation’s enthusiasm at the last meeting was very welcome, and has been remarked on by our Diocesan facilitator, so we look forward to hearing your thoughts on the 10th!
