All Saints’ congregation has distributed 1,000 Christmas cards around Jordanhill inviting residents to join in our celebrations.
• If you haven’t already received one, see the full invitation below, and come join us!
The four-page A6-sized card carries service details, an invitation to take part in our Discipleship Explored course from February onwards, and a message from Rev Sydney Maitland:
Dear Neighbours and Friends
Christmas is a time of the greatest kind of wonder because we celebrate how God personally took the blame for everything evil that people had done. This started when, in the person of Jesus, God accepted all the limits of human life, giving Himself to live a human life and to die a human death.
At Christmas we recall how Jesus was born and how God was visible to all in the weakness and needs of a human baby. It was by not holding to His own glory and majesty that God could become visible to humanity, and so would teach and heal all who would receive His word.
At the first Christmas the heavens exploded in joy at what God was already doing, and we are invited to be part of that celebration. Please join us.
With all good wishes
Rev Sydney Maitland, Priest-in-Charge
We are grateful to Jordanhill Newsagents for offering the card to its customers, and to Jordanhill News for their tweet:
